Quality Program Manager

C&D TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is a publicly held, global, high-tech manufacturer of power storage devices and power supplies. We currently have an opening for a Quality Program Manager in our corporate office in Blue Bell, PA

Summary:
This position reports to the VP of Quality Assurance and is responsible for supporting the quality systems for the battery operations in the Standby and Motive Power Divisions.  Support of the battery operations quality system includes procedure development to meet ISO and TL9000 requirements, plant QMS support, investigation and resolution of plant quality issues and supplier quality and audit support as necessary.  This position also supports review and release of quality systems items related to Nuclear orders.  This position works closely with Plant QA, Plant Process Engineering, Product Design and Development, Supplier Quality, Customer Service and Purchasing to support the various quality responsibilities noted above.
 
Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ISO and TL9000 requirements at the Blue Bell headquarters for items affecting Standby and Motive Power battery operations.  This includes procedure development, internal audit coordination, corrective/preventative action tracking and follow-up and related training.
• Coordinate with battery plant QA Mgrs to assist battery plants with QMS development and standardization.
• Facilitate and support plant quality and process standards development.
• Assist with plant process and quality troubleshooting efforts for complex troubleshooting issues.
• Assist the Supplier Quality function with supplier audits as needed.
• Assist Battery Engineering in the development of Material Specifications.
• Support Nuclear order requirements including pre-order review, pre-shipment verification and on-site audits.
• Review NSPs, ECRs and ECNs as needed
• Comply with C&D’s  Code of Business Conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years experience in a quality engineering or quality-related position.
• Quality auditing certification desired.
• Demonstrated statistical and analytical ability; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, Visio, Project)
• Able to design and execute Designed Experiments and analyze results for key trends and next steps.
