Materials Manager
C&D TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is a publicly held, global, high-tech manufacturer of power storage devices and power supplies. We currently have an opening for a Materials Manager in our Reynosa, Mexico facility.
This facility is 240,000 sq. ft and has about 200 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Look for adequate suppliers for the plant’s needs and its clients.
- Monitor plant’s materials demand.
- Analyze and see alternatives for a good customer service.
- Mantain an optimum inventory level.
- Coordinate Cycle counts in the plant.
- Make sure all the suppliers are approved.
- Coordinate efficient frieght logistics
- Look for suppliers close to the plant.
- Direct and coordinate the suppliers in the implementation process.
- Participate in the Evaluation of suppliers.
- Analyze/Solve problems regarding the payment to suppliers.
- Make sure that the acquiring and handling of dangerous materials is done in conformity with the requirements of the Environmental Administration System.
- Implement Just-in-Time.
- Contract Negotiations.
- Expedite materials and verify quantity received.
- Manage cost savings program in area.
- Participate in frequent meetings with work team.
- Supplier reduction.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 5-8 years of experience
- Must be bi-lingual
- Must have experience in the Maquiladora industry
