Process Engineer

C&D TECHNOLOGIES, INC. is a publicly held, global, high-tech manufacturer of power conversion and storage systems. We currently have an opening for a Process Engineer in Attica, IN facility.

To maintain and improve plant processes and equipment to ensure the capability to achieve specifications and production requirements.  Provide engineering support for production and quality, coordinating solutions to maintain a smooth flow of quality products.  Utilize metrics to assure continuous improvement.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality standards.
• Investigate and solve quality short falls as they occur.
• Direct Non-Standard Product process (NSP) projects and other similar investigations.
• Data collection and analysis.
• Support new and existing products into production.
• Support for plant manufacturing.
• Participates in and/or leads Process Quality Planning, including Failure Mode and Effects.
• Comply with C&D’s Code of Business Conduct

Minimum Requirements:

To fulfill these duties the Engineer should have a four-year engineering degree (or equivalent experience in a process engineering environment) and 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, design and development, quality assurance or related fields.
