C&D Technologies Achieves TL 9000 Certification for Standby Power Products

BLUE BELL, Pa., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- C&D Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: CHP), a leading North American producer and marketer of electrical power storage and conversion systems used in telecommunications, industrial and motive applications, today announced that it has successfully completed TL 9000 Certification for its Attica, IN and Milwaukee, WI manufacturing locations.

TL 9000 is an international quality management standard for the Telecom industry which consolidates ISO 9000, Bellcore and other quality requirements into one comprehensive assessment process. TL 9000 is designed to drive continual improvements in quality and reliability of telecom products and services; reduce time to market; and improve total cost of ownership throughout the supply chain.
