C&D Technologies Announces Appointment of Steve Heir as Vice President, Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer
BLUE BELL, Pa., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- C&D Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: CHP), a leading North American producer and marketer of electrical power storage and conversion systems used in telecommunications, uninterrupted power supply systems, utility and other high reliability applications, today announced the appointment of Mr. Steve Heir to the position of Vice President, Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer. In this newly created role, Mr. Heir will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jeffrey Graves, and will have responsibility for global business development and leadership of C&D's strategic marketing activities.

Steve is a veteran of the energy storage industry. Prior to joining C&D, he held various global sales, marketing, and operations leadership positions with Exide Technologies (GNB Technologies), in both their Motive and Standby Power businesses. Earlier in his career, Steve served as the Sales leader for Crompton Eternacell, a manufacturer of primary lithium batteries for industrial and military applications.
