Delivering a UPS backup system for a telecom giant
Recently, a leading US telecom provider selected C&D batteries to support a 2 megawatt expansion of one of its primary broadcast hubs.
Challenged to exceed ordinary UPS backup requirements
Most data centers only need 15-30 seconds of battery backup support before emergency generators start up. For this project, the telecom company required standby batteries to perform for 7.5 minutes during the load test.
The C&D team and its partner American Technical Support (ATS) successfully developed and delivered a UPS backup power system for the customer using Pure Lead Max UPS Battery products.
The standby solution went beyond the telecom giant's project requirements, and will help them keep millions of customers reliably connected. Strong technical support and a stronger battery warranty were icing on the cake.
